WHAT IS LIBBY'S LITTLE LIBRARY?

Libby's Little Library is a free, residential community library for children and young adults, serving the Aurora and Centennial, CO areas during the pandemic. Find out more.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Just show up. Every reader can borrow up to five books. There's no library card and no checkout process. I trust you. When you're done reading, bring the books back for others to enjoy.

WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?

We're open every day between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, weather permitting. Books are found in the Little Free Library by the sidewalk and an expanded selection on the front porch of my house.

WHAT ABOUT SANITATION?

In accordance with recent research, all books are returned to a separate bin and quarantined 48 hours before being returned to the library.

WHAT IF I NEED A BOOK RECOMMENDATION? IS THERE A LIBRARIAN?

Yes! Talking book recommendations is one of my favorite things to do. I'm happy to meet you on the porch and talk about books for you or your child, or if you're not actually coming over, to talk to you on the phone. Either way, send me a message to arrange a time.

WHAT IF I WANT TO KEEP A BOOK?

If you really, really like a book and want to keep it, that's fine. Just replace it with another book of similar quality. If you don't have a book to replace it with, make a donation and I'll buy a replacement.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

Nope! The library is entirely funded by donations -- from myself, from library users, and from others who just want to help out. You are free to borrow books at no charge. But if you wish to help us maintain and build our inventory of great books, you can make a donation.

HOW LONG WILL YOU BE DOING THIS?

Our Little Free Library will remain open indefinitely. The expanded selection of books on the front porch will remain available as long as the public schools and libraries remain closed.
