CLOSED - VERY TEMPORARILY

We miss you, too, but don't worry! We're reopening Thursday, June 4th.

WHAT IS LIBBY'S LITTLE LIBRARY?

Libby's Little Library is a free, front-porch library for children and young adults, serving the Aurora and Centennial, CO areas. Find out more.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Just show up. Every reader can borrow up to five books. There's no library card and no checkout process. I trust you. When you're done reading, bring the books back for others to enjoy.

WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?

We're open every day between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, weather permitting, on the front porch of my house.

WHAT ABOUT SANITATION?

We work hard to make sure that the library isn't a source for virus transmission. Read the details in this blog post.

WHAT IF I NEED A BOOK RECOMMENDATION? IS THERE A LIBRARIAN?

Yes! Talking book recommendations is one of my favorite things to do. I'm happy to meet you on the porch and talk about books for you or your child, or if you're not actually coming over, to talk to you on the phone. Either way, send me a message to arrange a time.

WHAT IF I WANT TO KEEP A BOOK?

If you really, really like a book and want to keep it, that's fine. Just replace it with another book of similar quality. If you don't have a book to replace it with, make a donation and I'll buy a replacement.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

Nope! The library is entirely funded by donations -- from myself, from library users, and from others who just want to help out. You are free to borrow books at no charge. But if you wish to help us maintain and build our inventory of great books, you can make a donation.

HOW LONG WILL YOU BE DOING THIS?

Until the public library reopens. After then, I will continue to maintain a much smaller Little Free Library in the front yard, which I hope you will use.
